Do you love pretty little packages and want to learn how to create them at home? Do you need ideas on how to package simple + fun party favors? Packaging 101 is the class for you! In this hands-on three-hour class you will learn how to create handmade wrapping paper using various techniques as well as how to make custom gift tags, gift labels and cards. You will also learn how to package goodies for party favors. Our goal is for you to leave with the creative inspiration to package gifts with a personal and handmade touch. Participants will have ample time to play with the packaging + craft supplies provided. Each participant will receive a supply kit [included in the cost of the workshop] filled with supplies to take home. Joke Vande Gaer of TOKKETOK + Sally J Shim of SHIM + SONS
Joke Vande Gaer is a Belgian designer behind Tokketok, a letterpress and design studio based in Portland, Oregon. She loves to create clean and sweet designs. Aside from the card line Tokketok specializes in custom announcements and invitations. Joke shares fun craft + packaging projects on the Tokketok blog. Joke is a mother to a sweet little two-year old named Oliver.
Sally J Shim is the designer behind SHIM + SONS, a small design studio in Portland, Oregon specializing in paper goods and home accessories. She favors white space, texture and little details. Sally authors two blogs, SHIM + SONS, a personal + craft blog and SALLYJSHIM, a design + lifestyle blog. Sally is the mother of two fun loving boys, Jeremiah and Judah.
